Authors must adhere to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as well as the executive bylaw of the Law on Prevention and Combating Fraud in Scientific Works. Some of these guidelines are outlined below.
If at any stage of the review, acceptance, or publication process it is discovered that all or part of these rules and principles have not been followed by the authors, the article will be retracted. Additionally, the name of the corresponding author will be added to the journal's blacklist, and no articles authored by him/her (either as the corresponding author or a co-author) will be accepted for the next four issues.
Authors:
- Authors must ensure that the data in the article, in part or in whole, has not been previously published in domestic or international journals. However, publishing summarized results from conference presentations is permissible.
- Authors must avoid submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals (domestic or international) simultaneously and must refrain from sending the article to other journals until a final decision is made by the Journal of Agricultural Mechanization.
- If authors decide to withdraw their article from the review and publication process, they must formally notify the editor-in-chief via an official letter signed by all authors. After official withdrawal, authors are permitted to submit the article to other journals.
- Authors must adhere to the principles of integrity by properly citing all sources and respecting copyright laws when using scientific content and information from other references.
- The responsibility for the accuracy and originality of the content lies with all authors. Authors must ensure that they have not committed any form of plagiarism (in both broad and narrow senses) in preparing the manuscript.
- By submitting the article, authors confirm their written agreement with the list of contributors and the order of authorship by completing and signing the article commitment form.
- The corresponding author will act as the communication channel between the journal and the authors and will be informed by the journal about the article's status.
- Authors must address reviewers' comments and submit the revised manuscript within the specified deadlines (15 days for minor revisions and 30 days for major revisions). Failure to meet these deadlines may result in the article being removed from the review process by the editorial board.
- Authors are encouraged to acknowledge individuals who contributed to the research and institutions that funded the study in the "Acknowledgments" section.
- If artificial intelligence (AI) tools are used for preparing figures, charts, or data analysis, this must be explicitly stated in the manuscript and the cover letter to the editor.
Editorial Board:
- Articles are evaluated based on their alignment with the journal's aims and scope, scientific standards, and innovation.
- Given the journal's bilingual publication (Persian and English), articles in both languages are published in each issue (published biannually) based on their final acceptance date.
- Initial evaluation of the article's relevance to the journal's objectives and scientific quality is conducted by the editor-in-chief and editorial board members. Reviewers are selected by the editor-in-chief and editorial board from experts in the relevant field.
- Articles are reviewed fairly and without bias or discrimination by the editor-in-chief and editorial board. If they meet the criteria, they proceed to the peer review process.
- The editorial board is committed to maintaining confidentiality and not disclosing any information about the article before its official publication.
Reviewers:
- Reviewers must promptly decide whether to accept or decline the invitation to review the article.
- If reviewers accept the invitation, they must complete the review within the specified timeframe.
- Reviewers are obligated to maintain confidentiality and not disclose any information about the article.
